Hello and welcome to my little corner of cyberspace. I’m afraid that you will not be able to find any pictures of pets or babies here. This web page does not belong to any web ring. There are no personality tests here. There are no top ten lists here. I don’t have a web counter. And nothing on this web page blinks or is in any way animated. Still, I hope you find this web page interesting and useful. If you don’t, please go elsewhere.

My name is Kevin Lee, and I am a mathematics professor at Purdue University Calumet. My field of research is algebraic topology and my current work deals with generalized cohomology theories. Algebraic topology is the study of intrinsic properties of shapes and forms which remain the same—even as space is stretched and twisted.

My non-mathematical interests include music and food. I play piano and violin and particularly enjoy playing Chopin and Brahms. I also like listening to a wide variety of musical genres. I like opera, Stravinsky, Lyle Lovett, salsa, and Sondheim (and many other things). As for food, I enjoy cooking a great deal and can make a good jerk chicken.
