- Here is a summary of Section 1.1, taken from the textbook's web site. Summaries for all of the textbook's sections are available from this web page from the textbook's web site (you'll want to download the PDF files from the column labelled "Class Handouts Version").
- From the textbook's web site, you can also download Chapter 1 (a zip file) from the textbook's "Study Guide" (this comes from this page at the web site). Unfortunately, only Chapter 1 of the study guide is available over from the website, but the entire study guide is on the CD-ROM that comes with the textbook.
