My research
mostly concerns partial differential equations, nonlinear analysis, and
numerical analysis.
In the last years, most of my
effort has been directed toward hyperbolic equations, hyperbolic formulations
of Einstein’s equations (in particular, constraint-preserving
boundary conditions for such formulations), and
the analysis of finite element
methods.
I organized:
· AMS Session on Finite Element Methods and Applications together with Sheng Zhang (Wayne State University) at Indiana University, Bloomington, April 5 - 6, 2008. Here's a list of the invited speakers for our session.
·
AMS Session on Wave
Propagation from Mathematical and Numerical Viewpoints together with Gabriel Koch (University of
Chicago) and Catalin Turc (Caltech & University of North Carolina at
Charlotte) at DePaul, Chicago, Oct 5 - 6, 2007. Here's a list of the invited speakers
for our session.
